Dear Judy,
Years ago I went with a guy who was really obnoxious, and of course I was crazy about him. We lived together only 5 months. Then basically he walked out on me, and also by the way left me to pay his share of the rent (I had co-signed the lease, idiotically). He moved to another city 25 minutes away.
Then he married someone else whom he’d been seeing on the side, they had a kid.
Long story short, I’ve come to find out he has colon cancer and they didn’t detect it early and he doesn’t have long, supposedly. A mutual friend told me he wants to see me.
Personally, I can’t wait til he goes. Makes me smile. Should I see him? Part of me really wants to drive the 25 miles, pop by and say, Hey how are things, anyway?
